So, if you want to replenish your Steam piggy bank or simply support wonderful developers, here are the 11 most interesting indie games overlooking the PC in August. We tried to briefly describe what each of these games stand out, but do not forget to switch to their respective pages in Steam and add them to the list if they fall to taste.

Here Comes Niko! - August 3rd

We have never seen the game described by its developer as a cozy 3D platformer for tired people, but yes, that's us. And yes, it sounds cute. In Here Comes Niko! You have just been hired as a professional friend in Tadpole Inc. And you have to travel at six virgin tropical islands, meeting and friendly with strange inhabitants, solving puzzles and chasing the beetles. It is a bright, charming, full heart game, aesthetics of which speaks of jelly shoes and a beach holiday - the perfect remedy for the summer handra. DEATH TRASH - August 5

This isometric role-playing game in the style of "Ganka" was in the field of our view for several years, so it's nice to see that she finally appeared in Steam Early Access. In the postpocalyptic world, where terrible space horrors and reasonable AI dominate, you create your own burden and go on a journey through this earth with a mysterious cargo. From the point of view of the gameplay, Death Trash combines the classic role-playing game Fallout with combat actions, as you travel around the world map, full locations that can be explored manually. Pixel art is luxurious and expressive, the world seems original, and in the game there is a special button for twisted ... Sign up! You can familiarize yourself with Death Trash.

Haven Park - August 5

City of Gangsters - August 9

Mafi's life in the era of the dry law has long been glorified and romanticized in the media, but under quick cars, weapons and excessive luxury you will find serious financial knowledge that rarely receive tribute. City of Gangsters is a resource management game, which is designed to eliminate this imbalance, putting you at the head of your own criminal syndicate. There are a few muscles to manage, but for the most part your work is to build wine cellars and distillers, as well as in managing a complex network of competitors, sales cops and smugglers to make sure that you always get profit. Black Book - August 10

In the Black Book game, which is a curious mixture of card battles and adventure games, you will have to manage the young sorcerer of Vasilisa, which wanders through the Slavic countryside and helps the residents of the villages, fighting and expelling demons. The world of Black Book is based on the Nonoslavian mythology, which - for the obvious exception of the Witcher series - is not so often found in games. Fortunately, the game has an encyclopedia containing detailed information about folklore.

The fighting resemble SLay The Spire and SteamWorld Quest, but it is a dark, foggy artistic style that combines clear low-poly ants characters with soft textures of Slavic fields and forests, attracted our attention. You can familiarize yourself with the Black Book game.

Patron - August 10

Perhaps you noticed this medieval town planner among hundreds of demo versions available at the recent Steam Next Fest festival. However, despite the fact that the Steam can find many feudal urban planners, Patron differs from the rest of the fact that it divides your population to various social groups. These groups will often respond differently to the policy that you spend as a favorable town-planning task, so the compromise and political cunning are as important as the city's management to economic prosperity. You can familiarize yourself with the Patron game.

GLITCHPUNK - August 11

The gaming industry is still recovering from the shock caused by the unsuccessful launch of Cyberpunk 2077, but fortunately, a lot of excellent alternatives appeared after it. GLITCHPUNK is an action with a view from top to bottom in the spirit of the original Grand Theft Auto Games, where you explore four anti-utopic cities, collecting remuneration and defining the fate of gangs, cults and corporations. The game has several easy role-playing games, but for the most part we are talking about to rush along the illuminated neon streets and arrange as much chaos as possible. You can familiarize yourself with GLITCHPUNK.

Road 96 - 16 August

Here is the genre that we really hope: games for the highway. In Road 96, you are trying to escape from the native country of Petria, coming by the hitchhiker to the border, but the way your journey will be completely dependent on who stops to lend you to, and in whose car you will venture to sit down. Each character you encountered can lead to the moments of chaos, reflection or comedy.

Given that Road 96 is created by the studio Valiant Hearts, which was able to accommodate all this complexity in the game about the horrors of the First World War, we can't wait to find out what awaits us in this game. You can familiarize yourself with the game Road 96.

Monster Harvest - August 19

To speak in a nutshell, then Monster Harvest is Pokémon mixed with Stardew Valley. The inspiration of the latter is pretty obvious: you are a new resident of the city, who inherited a farm, which desperately needs care, there are a lot of characters with whom you can get acquainted, and even the caves in which you can fight. However, Monster Harvest slightly changes the situation, allowing you to grow your own monsters to fight them, train and indulge. You can familiarize yourself with the Monster Harvest game.

You can drink tea and play gambling all day or become a climber researcher, and although in Book of Travels there are fights, they are far from the spotlight. As for the multiplayer part, the goal of Might & Delight is to promote a fleeting and meaningful interaction with other players in those rare cases when your paths intersect.
