A few recommendations on how to launch Sherlock Holmes and The Secret of Cthulhu, if it's just a blue or blue screen. Some people ran into problems when launching the game on platforms newer than Windows XP. I was among those people (Windows 7 x64). As a result, on the basis of the recommendations found (in part, on the basis of information from discussions in the Steam society), such a note was formed.
If the video game won't launch, try this (try one tip at a time):
1. Install PhysX (in the video game folder). Reboot your computer!
2. Set compatibility mode (with Windows XP) for game.exe in the video game folder.
3. Copy the PhysXLoader.dll file to the daddy with the video game (at first you need to find it in the Windows folder, if you can't, download the latest PhysX from the nVidia web blog, install it, find the file - by the way, someone was simply helped by installing the latest PhysX).
4. Find the PhysXLoader64.dll file (the same as in pt 3), copy it to the folder with the video game.
5. Someone was helped by renaming PhysXLoader.dll to PhysXLoader64.dll
