Seen a lot of dual pistols in Warzone lately? Here are the best pistols to use in Warzone.

Looking for a breakdown of the best Warzone pistols to use with Akimbo? When Warzone first launched pistols, they were at the very bottom of the list of the best Warzone guns to include in their Warzone loads. However, the addition of the Akimbo perk turned this medium weapon into Unstoppable Melee Assassins. The obvious cheat is that you can't aim down with two pistols, but their hip-fire accuracy and time-to-kill is so good you won't need it.

There are several very viable Akimbo pistol designs for Warzone right now. The reason they are so powerful is because you only need to get one charge drop to have a class with a ghost, the primary long range weapon of your choice, and pistols can act as your best close combat option.

Below we'll lay out our picks for the top three Akimbo pistol models for Warzone. If you've only recently jumped into Warzone, then you'll have a pretty hefty job waiting for you to fully level up this weapon. The best way to do this without paying for modern warfare and grinding multiplayer is to jump into Plunder - you'll spawn with your favorite gear, and the respawn mechanic means you can afford to just focus on getting kills with your pistols.

BEST AKIMBO PISTOLS FOR WARZONE

AKIMBO SNAKE SHOT .357

You will need the following attachments and perks for this build: .357 Long, Light Trigger, Snake Shot, Akimbo, and 5mW Laser. This Akimbo pistol setup gives you a shotgun in each hand, and in close combat you can take down a fully armored enemy with just four shots - with the Akimbo it's basically two shots.

The laser is key to increasing your sprint fire rate and hip fire accuracy, so you can run rings around whoever you're fighting without worrying about accuracy. There's a steep damage rolloff, as with any shotgun, but if you stick with them for clearing buildings and rushing teams, then you'll find them unbeatable.

AKIMBO RENETTI

These new Season 3 pistols can be modified with explosive fire to greatly increase their rate of fire and accuracy. Here are the settings you'll want to get the most out of the Renetti in the war zone: 5mW Laser, Akimbo, Light Trigger, 27 Round Mags, and Mk3 Burst Mod.

The Akimbo Renetti will only take an enemy from fully armored to downed if you get in front of him, as the recoil on these ramps increases very quickly. However, they are excellent for moving around to clear a fight after you've done most of the damage with your primary, and few weapons are better if you get pushed. You hardly have to think when using them, just point in the general direction of your enemy and they will fall.

AKIMBO DESERT EAGLE/.50GS

For this build you want to buckle up anything that will fight recoil control we choose Grip Band, 5mW Laser, Light Trigger, Akimbo, and 13 Round Mags for our Akimbo Desert Eagle build.

They are much harder to use than the other two cases in this Warzone Pistol Guide. Just like the Snake Shots, this pistol rig will go down with two shots from each pistol, but getting consecutive shots to land with Deagles is no mean feat. We recommend moving carefully to keep hip fire on point, and only shoot while running if you are on top of an enemy. The Akimbo .50 GS has a lot of potential, but if you don't like to leave things to chance, we won't recommend it.
