Breathedge is by no means an easy survival game. This guide gives beginners some strategies and tips for surviving this harsh world.

Only the most avid survival gamers can travel the harsh world of Breathedge. There are so many different things the player should look out for while exploring the world, such as running out of oxygen, dying from hunger and thirst, and even just freezing in the vacuum of space. Wandering around this world is not easy.

Breathedge Survival Tips & Tricks

Increase the amount of oxygen as soon as possible - unsurprisingly, one of the most important things to track in space is the amount of oxygen the player currently has. Each time they leave their starting zone, their oxygen levels begin to drop, and they have less than a minute of precious gas left at the start of the game. To be able to do more in Breathedge, players will need to increase their oxygen levels whenever possible. This can be done by using things like oxygen candles, going into oxygen-producing areas, or purchasing permanent enhancements like an oxygen ball. Continuous improvement is the best way to ensure that the player can spend more time outside their ship exploring the empty space around them.

Take small resources first - being outside the starting area, the player will find that all kinds of resources are simply floating in space. While many of these resources will need to be broken down or obtained through various tools, others can still be simply picked up using the player's bare hands. However, at the start of the game, it is much easier and more economical for players to collect these smaller resources first. Start by sweeping the area directly around the ship, then slowly work your way outward to gather anything nearby that might be useful. After that, the player can begin work on dividing large groups of resources.

One somewhat hidden area gives a decent early advantage - When the player leaves their starting point, they will see a wide range of different wrecks and ship parts that can be scrapped to explore, which can be a little overwhelming. This is further complicated by the fact that the player has the ability to explore 360-degree directions. Their first idea is probably to head ahead of their ship, although they should probably really look behind it. If they explore in the back of their ship and go behind a large group of asteroids here, they will come across small debris that contains several wooden transport crates. They can be unlocked for a huge variety of both simple and complex resources that will allow the player to quickly and easily craft many of the early game items.

Scraper is the most important subject. Without a doubt, the most important item in the game is the scraper. While all the tools have their own specific roles and uses in Breathedge, the Scrapper gives the player the most options for obtaining different types of resources. Not only is he capable of breaking metal and ice blocks, but he can also open doors, crates, and chests that will contain some of the rarer items in the game. It is incredibly important that the player always carry a couple of scrapers with them and always have enough metal in their ship's inventory to create more when they are needed.

Don't let essential resources take up space - even with all the different suitcases a player can craft, he'll probably still float in resources. To make items take up less space, you need to try to combine all the main resources into something more complex. There are quite a few resources in the game, such as rubber, alkali or paint, which are used only a few times in the game. If the player wants to keep them, it makes sense to go ahead and combine them to create more useful items that can be used immediately, or at least take up less space.

Install oxygen stations - in the first hours of the game, the player can only raise his oxygen threshold so much, and even at the maximum level, he will still not be able to explore outside his base for a long time. However, a way to fix this is to establish oxygen stations throughout the area where the player can regenerate their oxygen. These stations can be placed anywhere the player wants, and are best used when placed in areas outside the player's normal exploration range. This gives players the opportunity to stop somewhere and rest before returning for a walk or heading home.

Explore every corner and every corner - There are so many items and resources hidden in Breathedge that players will want to look everywhere. Since players can swim in space and explore 360 degrees, there are many ways to hide objects. Explore the structures above and below them, peer through the gaps between walls, and even search inside crates for all the resources this game has to offer.

Avoid radiation and cold areas - Lack of oxygen isn't the only thing that can kill a player, and to be honest, radiation and cold zones are probably more likely to knock the player down. This is due to the fact that early on, the player will not have any protection against these dangers and will have to work quite a lot to get protection from them. A better idea is to instead explore areas closer to the starting base before attempting to travel to more dangerous parts of the map.
