Tips and Tactics in Immortals Fenyx Rising is a fast-paced, cool third-person action RPG adventure.

In which you will have to travel to Ancient Greece and fight Typhon to save the Greek Gods...

The events of the game take place in the vastness of ancient Greece, where real chaos began to happen. Typhon, an ancient rival of the Greek gods, has broken free and now wants to destroy the gods and enslave the world. And everything can work out for him if you do not stand up for the protection of this world. Take up the blade and start fighting, learn how to break the curse, how to defeat Typhon, and how to save the Gods along with the whole local world ...

6 tips to get started

So, you have just landed on the Golden Island. Your brother and all your teammates have been turned to stone, and you need to defeat a large red demon named Typhon to get everyone back to normal. Naturally. Once you reach Immortals Fenyx Rising's central area, the Hall of the Gods, you can head in any direction you like.

Let's be honest, you're sure to get dizzy, especially with the ever-annoying Hermes circling around her.

Luckily, we've done the hard work so you don't have to. There's a lot to figure out if you're going to make your way into Immortals Fenyx Rising, especially on hard mode, so here are six essential tips to help you quickly scale mountains and overthrow the titans.

Travel everywhere on foot in Immortals Fenyx Rising

Okay, not everywhere. We don't expect anyone to go from King's Peak to Rock Climbing. If you like walking simulators, you should probably play Death Stranding anyway.

The reason it's worth traveling on foot (or, more commonly, on wings) in the first place is because gathering resources is a big part of Immortals Fenyx Rising. You probably won't gather enough ingredients to restore health and stamina if you fast travel all over the place. Running, riding, and flying from point A to point B is a good way to painlessly collect resources rather than making special trips.

If you are not hiking, you may not be able to meet such charming characters.

There are also plenty of loot and side quests hidden around the Golden Isle that you can easily miss. Traveling on foot means you'll see more of what Immortals Fenyx Rising has to offer. This brings us to the next tip.

Lost off the beaten path of the Golden Isle

For those of you who have played open world games before, this one is pretty self-explanatory. However, never forget that research is the key to success. Sometimes it's tempting to quickly move to the next quest area or just run from point A to point B, but this isn't always the most fruitful approach. It is worth spending some time on this, especially in the early stages of the passage.

There is so much content in Immortals Fenyx Rising that you don't want to risk missing anything by taking the fast track. In addition to a lot of powerful gear and useful resources, there are many interesting side quests that can only be started if you take the less advanced road.

Some of my favorite moments in Immortals Fenyx Rising are discovering secret caves or deserted islands far from the main attractions and Prometheus telling the mythical tales associated with them.

Use your far sight

The game in some way forces you to do this. The main quest involves zooming the statues of gods and goddesses in each region and scouring the ground for key locations. However, it wasn't until a few hours later that I remembered that I had to do it myself. Learn from my mistakes!

Is Aphrodite huge or really very close?

Try activating the long range sight (by pressing the right stick on the console) if you are on top of a particularly large mountain or building. Identifying challenges, chests, and resources makes it much easier to visit them effectively while traveling. By the end of the playthrough, I had mastered the habitual routine of jumping from one point of interest to another in order to pick up items as efficiently as possible. If this is your jam, a distant look is your friend.

Update one thing at a time

Almost immediately, Fenyx gains access to a range of different weapons and abilities. Apart from certain situations, such as using an ax to fight enemies with a shield, or shooting harpies with a bow, it can be difficult to know what to use and when.

At first, I just upgraded all weapons and abilities equally. However, fights become much easier and more satisfying when you focus on improving one thing at a time.

For example, use Adamantine Shards to upgrade your sword and focus on it as much as possible. The sword is a very versatile weapon that can be used in almost all fights. At the same time, spend Charon's coins to improve sword-related abilities and wear armor that gave exciting side effects of sword attacks. Focusing on one area allows you to change your playstyle accordingly and thus deal much more damage in combat.

Side effects are an important part of combat and include things like restoring your stamina/health with every hit, increasing damage while the Phoenix is in the air, and most importantly, stunning your enemy.

Girls just wanna stun

Stuns are incredibly powerful in Immortals Fenyx Rising. It's never a bad idea to maximize your stun potential. You can unlock abilities, buy upgrades, and find equipment that increases Phoenix's ability to fill up enemy stun meters as quickly as possible.

For those wondering, the little blue bar under the enemy's health is their stun meter. Once it is full, it will turn golden and the enemy will be unable to move for a few seconds. You can then attack them without fear of taking damage (if there are no other enemies nearby) until their stun meter is depleted and they come to life.

Your bow can be upgraded to stun enemies when fully charged.

Stuns are especially effective against larger, stronger enemies, as they are easier to hit with things like arrows or rocks, and you often fight them alone, allowing them to gradually build up their stun meter without being distracted.

Throwing rocks with Hercules' gloves is a good way to create a stun. I would recommend doing this as often as possible. Before a fight, scour the area for boulders so you know where to turn.

Unlock Quality of Life Skills First

Charon Coins, obtained by completing certain quests, are used to unlock Divine Powers and new skills. There are plenty to choose from, and it will take dozens of hours to unlock them all. It is tempting to discover more sinister Divine powers first, such as the spears of Ares or the hammer of Hephaestus.

This is a good option, but you won't need all of them at once. We recommend that all players unlock the following skills as soon as possible. They are guaranteed to make your fight with Typhon much easier:

  • lifting jump - allows you to jump while climbing on the surface, which is faster and requires less stamina.
  • sliding accelerator - speeds up gliding on wings and increases endurance.
  • Gathering Telekinesis - automatically collects all nearby ingredients instead of collecting them individually. When you ride, automatically picks up nearby ingredients. This is a real find.

Well, that should be enough to start life on the Golden Isle.Let us know if you have any other suggestion of tips that all new players need to know! Check out our Immortals Fenyx Rising review and stay tuned for more detailed guides.
