Varkolak are large werewolves that resemble large, shaggy dogs in appearance. The first meeting with such a beast will occur when the main character will go through the village to the reservoir, but later in the game other werewolves will appear.
A very useful note is that a werewolf, due to its size, cannot run into huts or crawl into other tight spaces and corridors. You can use this in two main ways:
- Hiding and waiting until the varkolak loses interest.
- By attacking a varkolak when he tries to enter the hut. When choosing the latter option, remember that you should not stand too close to the door or window, as the monster's claws can reach Ethan.
There are other clever ways to weaken Varkolak:
- Plant mines in places where there is a high chance of a werewolf spawning.
- Attack Varkolak with a sniper rifle. The advantage of this method is that you can attack him from a long distance.
