Disco Elysium - The Final Cut you play as a detective, at your disposal a unique skill system and an entire city block in which you have to make your way. Interrogate unforgettable characters, solve murders or take bribes. You decide who to become, a hero or a complete loser. Here's where the shot was fired from.
Where was the shot at Disco Elysium from?
Your task is to find bullet holes in three places. The first is at the edge of the earth, which can be reached by walking north along a narrow path between the church and the abandoned Feld R&D building. At the northernmost tip you will see a dilapidated tower. A blue orb will appear south of the tower above your head, allowing you to view the shot.
Note that this is not an interacting object; only if you stand in the right place, the ball will appear. Look at the screenshot below; although it is slightly enlarged, note the location of the three fallen beams directly above the character and the rock he is standing near.
The second shot (the boardwalk shot) is in the basement of the Feld R&D building. You can't get here until you're ready to chase the suspect; see this page for details on how to get into the building.
Once you're in the basement, turn on your flashlight and look to the far right of the basement before turning into the tunnels. A yellow orb should appear above your head if you have a good Perception skill. Click on it to reveal a new small area to the right of the wall. Go into it and inspect everything that is there. When you examine the window near the ceiling, this will remove the second part of the side quest.
The last place to shoot is on the island, which is located beyond the point of no return in the story. Once you are on the island, the path will be mostly linear. Exit the first building through its southeast door. Then explore the eastern part of the island to find a dilapidated structure. Inside this dilapidated building is a mattress, after examining it, you can complete the quest.
