Roblox has yet to release the voice chat feature, but new images from Bloxy News give an idea of what needs to be done to enable the feature. Below are the instructions we know before the official launch of voice chat on the Roblox platform.
NoteA: All Roblox users must be over 18 years of age to enable voice chat. Users must also verify their age by uploading a photo ID to the portal provided by Roblox. If a user does not meet any of these requirements, all voice chat features will most likely be disabled and limited on their account. How to Enable Voice Chat in Roblox
To enable voice chat in Roblox, users must go to the Roblox Platform Settings section. Settings can be found by hovering over the gear button in the top right corner. In Settings, click on the Privacy tab to open a list of options. Somewhere on this page there should be a heading called Voice Chat (see image below) that allows the user to disable or enable this feature. Toggle the voice chat feature to green to enable it.
After enabling the feature, return to the "Account Information" tab, where most of the general information about the account is stored. When the voice chat is officially launched, it looks like there will be a "Check age" button on the "Account Information" page. Once the user's photo ID is ready, click the Verify Age button to upload the photo ID or scan it using the user's mobile device. All identification data must be passed through the Veratad age/identification verification software.
After completing the Verify Age step, the user will most likely have to wait for an email from Roblox/Veratad confirming that voice chat has been 100% enabled. After completing these steps, users with voice chat enabled will be able to chat with each other in most Roblox games.
