How to beat Fellflower in Genshin Impact?
Your first fight against the Fellflower boss in Genshin Impact is part of The Shadows Deepen. However, this will also become a repeatable task once you complete the quest.
Here's the mechanics: ⇓
Arcane Fruit - In the first phase of this fight, Fellflower is fully protected by a shield. To break his defenses, you need to destroy the Arcane Fruit (that is, the large red crystals thrown out one at a time). Arcane Fruit also has certain attack patterns, such as falling to the ground or firing projectiles.
Arcane Essence - after the destruction of the Arcane Fruit, about three Arcane essences (i.e. smaller crystals) will appear. Pick them up so the boss doesn't assimilate them and replenish his shield.
◊ Fellflower Attacks - From time to time, the boss will carry out the following attacks:
- Avalanche - white circles will appear on the ground. In a second, the ice blocks will collapse.
- Rolling snowballs - three snowballs will be summoned, rolling outward and hitting you.
- Cryo slime - At least one large cryo-slime will appear during the battle.
Once the Fellflower shield is completely depleted, it will shrink and you will begin the second phase. This is when you can land a nuclear strike, although it also has a few notable attacks:
- Snowball throw - throws several snowballs in a row.
- Flower Turret - the lamp will follow you and shoot projectiles.
- Nora - The Fellflower will go underground before popping back up.
Winner's Emblem: Quests and Event Store
Each time you defeat Fellflower in Genshin Impact, you will receive 300x Vanquisher Emblems. The currency can be used in the Trial Trophies event store panel (more on this later). There are also additional objectives you can complete if you check the Rise of the Fellflower panel. Each quest brings you 120 Vanquisher Emblems, 2 Hero Wits and 20,000 Morale:
- Destroy the Arcane Fruit and defeat the Fellflower - that simply means beating him as usual.
- Interrupt Snowball Attack - Destroy the Arcane Fruit while Fellflower is using the Snowball Attack to interrupt the spell's animation.
- Defeat Fellflower without letting him consume Arcane Essence - Just be quick to grab the Arcane Essence after destroying the Arcane Fruit.
- Don't get hit by his underground attacks - this seems to refer to his burrow attack, so just walk away when he goes underground.
- Don't get hit by the Arcane Fruit hammer - this seems to be the case for the jumping attacks that Arcane Fruit usually do.
- You can run away from the red circles that appear to avoid being hit.
- Defeat the four monsters created by the Arcane Fruit - at least one Large Cryo Slime will appear, so be sure to destroy it before killing Fellflower.
- Just repeat this in four appointments to complete the count.
You should get two more pieces of Alkahest. This will allow you to upgrade the Cinnabar Spindle to rank 5 (R5).
