We PC gamers get a lot of our own exclusive games that may never be released on consoles.
However, while I myself play consoles from time to time, there are games that I would love to see released on PC. I admit that a lot of console games can be emulated on a PC these days. Of course, this is not easy to do with more modern releases.
Take Nintendo, for example, they have tied most of their games to their platform for generations. Sony is pretty much the same, leaving their big names on their platform. The only exception these days is Microsoft. They've had tons of exclusives over the years, but now most of them are either on PC or PC. For example, the upcoming release of Halo MCC on PC and the Forza and Gears franchises already well established on PC; to name just a few.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
By far one of the best Zelda games ever made, although I still think Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the greatest (that's me personally, I'm sure your opinion may differ). The prospect of this game in 4K, HDR, with (dare I say) even better graphics ... Well, no PC gamer wants that. In fact, I think a lot of Nintendo fans would appreciate seeing what their team can do with some serious GPU power.
The last of us
I find it easy to add it to the list. I respect Naughty Dog immensely as they continue to amaze every generation of console games. However, we've seen them bring Crash Bandicoot to PC, so who knows, maybe we'll see their modern AAA releases follow suit. They've already remastered from PS3 to PS4. Personally, I would reproduce it in no time if they introduced it to a new audience on PC. If they throw us a bone and release The Last of Us 2 in the future, that will be great too.
God of War (series)
Wow, how could I NOT mention the God of War series? Personally, I think the last recording was a technical miracle. The lack of camera sharpness throughout the game is something to look out for. That said, I also found it pretty darn boring, despite being the best-selling PS4 exclusive, huh. For this reason, I am more interested in the first three games. They are a brutal mix of brutal button presses and fantastic puzzles that any gamer will love. Plus, they are rich in myths that give the game world, story, and characters real weight.
Uncharted (series)
Another Naughty Dog game? Sure why not! This is by far one of the funniest games ever released for consoles. The new one was pretty decent too, although, like God of War, this is the main trilogy that I will forever remember. If you like modern Tomb Raider games, you will love Uncharted. While what makes Tomb Raider great has been largely copied from Uncharted, and Uncharted is still better ... but that's what I think is human.
Horizon zero dawn
It hurts me personally. When I gave my PS4 to my son and he went and bought it, I hardly had time to play it. That said, it doesn't take long to see that Sony has a solid franchise indeed. A fresh RPG game that has everything you need to compete against big names like The Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, The Witcher, and more. Seeing it all on flagship PC hardware would be a real treat.
Mario series
It's time for more Nintendo games. Though I have to admit that Nintendo is raging with their DMCA notices that they will most likely shut down Mario's own port on PC! That being said, I still want Sega to keep releasing consoles, and it's Nintendo that gets multiplatform with their releases; Am I not the only one? I also don’t select any of the games in the set. I believe that all Mario games are welcome and the more gamers enjoy them, that can only be a good thing.
And that's all there is to know about what kind of games we'd like to see on PC. If you have something to add, feel free to leave a comment below.
