The calendar in The Sims 4: Seasons is one of the biggest additions to this update. The main significance of the calendar is the division of the playable year into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. By default, any season lasts 7 days (you can change this value in the game options). The calendar allows you to find out the current season and check the weather forecast for the next number of days. To open the calendar, you need to click on the corresponding icon located in the lower left corner of the screen (close to the phone icon). The calendar performs a certain number of options and can report to you about the approach of various incidents. Let's take a closer look at all these abilities:
Observation of holidays
The Sims 4: Seasons introduces a set number of holidays, each of which is marked on the calendar. Four of them are fixed: they constantly take place on the same days. They can be characterized as the main holidays, since during their implementation the largest number of different incidents and events are discovered. The list of major holidays includes the following:
Day of Love;
Harvest Festival;
Winter holiday;
New Year's Eve.
Click on any special day - you will notice a list of trends and incidents that your Sim will be able to take part in during the holiday. They can be, for example, "Festive dishes" or "Romantic spirit". The role in solemn events is rewarded with delight points, which can then be spent on the elixir and bonus traits. More details about the holidays will be announced later.
In addition to the main holidays in the calendar, random ones can also appear. These include, for example, the following:
Discount Sale Day - All products in Build Mode are 10% off.
Day of pampering - on this day you can do all kinds of tricks.
Skill Day - On this day, Sims are more likely to spin their own abilities.
Premiere of the TV season - on this day you must not miss the premiere of the newest season. To do this, press on the telly and select the appropriate option. Lottery - on this date you can purchase a lottery ticket (either through a computer or by phone). A role in the lottery gives a chance to win extra things.
Drawing up a daily routine
The calendar will similarly allow you to inspect and change the schedule of any family member. By clicking on a specific day, you will notice information about the working graphic picture of your Sims. In the same place, you can create a schedule of additional activities or send a child sim to school. In addition to this, in the calendar you will find information about the days of the birth of each family member.
Complementing the latest holiday or event
The last calendar option is to develop your own personal holidays or incidents, so you can fill the calendar with different types of work. Nevertheless, it should be borne in mind that in the conditions of one day it is possible to draw up a plan for only one holiday or event. In this mode, you can come up with a name for the holiday, indicate whether the day will be a day off, and similarly choose a design theme for it. However, the most important part is the choice of trends - activities that Sims are required to do that day (you can choose up to 5 different trends). The game features a wide range of different activities, for this reason you can build all sorts of unique holidays, guided only by your tastes and wishes. Using the calendar, you can similarly plan a specific event: for example, a home party, a dinner party, a wedding or dance party. These events were open before, but the Seasons expansion allowed them to be designed two weeks in advance.
