Guide to unlock all content. You don't need to manually install the H-patch or modify the game to uncensor it, you can just use HF Patch.
To do this automatically, and add tons of new content along the way. This guide will tell you exactly what it does, how to get it, and how to install it.
Patch for AI-Shoujo and AI-Syoujyo (ＡＩ * 少女, original Japanese edition) with all free updates, fan-made English translations and necessary mods. This will improve performance, add features, fix common issues, and allow you to download character maps and scenes found on the Internet. All while maintaining the original, uncluttered feel of the game.
All content is reviewed and corrected (or removed) as needed prior to each update. HF Patch can fix many common problems, try it if you have problems setting up your game or mod. By default, it cleans up the game before applying new mods, providing a stable platform for further modding. You can apply HF Patch on top of any game installation or repackage without issue.
HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid add-ons, or any other pirated content. You must buy the game and the expansions separately.
What's included?
HF Patch enables and installs by default:
- Complete uncensored with several different models.
- H patch.
- Free updates for AI-Syoujyo including Studio (with full fan translation).
- Fan translations and automatic translations to fill in the gaps in the official translation.
- Most used plugins and almost all fancy clothes, this allows you to download almost all character cards available online.
- Fixes for common game and mod issues such as installing unsuccessful mods.
- You can see a complete list of what the HF Patch contains by checking the [Components] section in the source code.
- Please note that HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid add-ons, or any other pirated content. The full version of the game must already be installed for the patch to work.
How do I install it?
- Buy and install AI-Shoujo.
- Download the latest HF Patch here or here. You should receive one .exe file and 2 or more .bin files. You can place these files anywhere you want.
- Install the latest version of HF Patch by running the .exe and following the instructions in the wizard.
- Ready! You can now launch the Game Launcher as usual and you will notice some new options right away. You can delete the downloaded HF Patch installation files right now if you want to save space, but consider saving them in case you need to fix the game in the future.
- Note 1: By default, the game is located in the Steam SteamApps common AI-Shoujo folder (you can also find the installation directory in your Steam library, click Properties and browse the local files).
- Note 2: The default settings should work well for most users. If you want a complete save, scroll down to the bottom of the “what to install” list.
FAQ / Notes
- First of all, check the FAQ on the wiki. If the FAQ does not answer your question / problem, search for channels on the IllusionSoft Discord server. Some tutorials are also available on the server. If you need more help, feel free to ask in the # ai-help channel on the server.
Notes for HF Patch, I highly recommend reading them!
- You can customize many plugins by pressing F1 and then Plugin Settings. You can also see most of the plugin's hotkeys in this menu (and change them).
- You can prevent Steam from showing that you are playing a game by manually launching the .exe (not from the Steam library). Make your games private to be sure. The game can also start when Steam is off. Just know that we will not judge you for your hours of play.
- If you check the game files in your Steam client, you will lose a lot of functionality and have to restart HF Patch to get them back. You can do this if you have problems, as this will restore the game files, but it will not delete your data.
- The included fan translations are only used to fill in the gaps in the official translation (DLC, studio, mods).
- Installing HF Patch will add free updates for the Japanese release that contain Studio (separate exe file). For many people, this is the only mode they use (other than character creation for character creation for studio use), so it is highly recommended to check it out. You can see other people's creations and download their studio scenes from the Discord server.
- The HF Patch download does not include content mods for Studio, they need to be downloaded separately due to their sheer size. You can tell HF Patch to download them at the end of the installation.
- HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid add-ons, or any other pirated content. The full version of the game must already be installed for the patch to work.
- If you have installed a previous HF Patch or individual mods, it is recommended that you uninstall all mods when prompted. This will prevent any potential mod conflicts or outdated mods causing problems.
- It is recommended to install all content mods if you plan on loading character cards - they are required for many maps and scenes.
All DLC / Patches are optional and not required to install HF Patch. - You can run this patch as many times as you like and nothing breaks. All mods are optional to install, and most of them can be uninstalled by running the patch again.

You can use this patch to fix many broken game / mod installations. - Older versions of BepInEx will be automatically updated and most of the failed installations should be fixed with this patch. Warning: if you have a very old BepInEx folder, delete it when prompted!
- Most mods are in plugin and sideloader form to avoid modifying game files. You can run HF Patch again to remove them.
