Fortnite Season 8 has arrived, and as with every season in Free-to-play Battle Royale, a lot has changed. For example, Wayling Woods and the Temple of Tomatoes, as well as the original location of the Block, were destroyed by a volcanic eruption. They are being replaced by new locations Lazy Lagoon and Sunny Steps, many new biomes to explore and pirates. Just as Season 7 brought the Ice King and his trogs with it, Season 8 includes Black Heart and his crew of pirate Fish Sticks. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Fortnite Week 1 for Season 8 is filled with a pirate adventure. One of the most exciting pirate challenges of the first week is exploring the new map and discovering seven newly built pirate camps. These camps range from tall structures to sturdy forts built on the ruins of previous seasons, so players discovering them on their own will not be easy. The exact language of the competition is “Visit all the pirate camps”, of which there are seven. All the player has to do is get close to the location of the camp and the Challenge will be counted as a visit. This can be done by choosing seven different matches, or all in one match if the player can survive that long and travel that fast. Once all seven camps are found, it will be completed and players can proceed to the next Week 1.
In case the map itself isn't specific enough, or if Fortnite players want to avoid using the map and prefer easier directions, follow below for more information. None of the camps are particularly difficult to find, so anyone feeling lost could accidentally find themselves in the wrong place. The weekly Fortnite Challenge starts every Thursday and runs on Wednesday of the following week. The Pirate Camp Challenge started on February 28th and will run until March 6th, so Battle Pass members are best not to wait too long to get started.
