Wondering how to change the look of Shepard and your squad in Mass Effect 2? Here's a complete guide.
Mass Effect 2 changes quite a few things from the original game, and one of those changes is that there is no longer an Outfit option in the main menu. This means changing weapons and armor for you and your squadmates will no longer be the same procedure.
One of the interesting things this change allows for is cosmetic changes for both themselves and their squadmates: players can change not only Shepard's armor, but also his everyday clothes. We've prepared a quick guide on how to change the appearance of yourself and your squadmates.
How to change Shepard's outfit
You can change the appearance of Commander Shepard in any armor locker. One of them is located inside the captain's cabin for easy access. In this menu, you can change the set of armor you are wearing and customize its appearance. Here you can change the armor you are wearing, depending on what armor you purchased, or leave the default appearance, and also change some of its parts. In addition to changing Shepard's armor, you can also change his everyday appearance - the clothes he wears aboard the Normandy. With over 40 DLC packs included in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, you'll have immediate access to alternate outfits.
How to change a squad mate's outfit
You can change the equipment of your squadmates by logging into any personal terminal and going to the Team Status menu or the Squad Select screen before leaving the Normandy. You can change the outfit of your squadmates by selecting them on-screen and choosing the Cyclic Appearance option. Additional outfits can be unlocked by completing personal missions for squad members, and in the Legendary Edition, alternate outfits for some characters are included in the DLC.
