Bad Juju is a fan-favorite Destiny OG weapon returning in Destiny 2. The Catalyst makes it an even bigger force to be reckoned with.

Bad Juju was, and still is, one of the more popular weapons in Destiny 2. This is partly driven by Destiny 1 nostalgia, but also due to the weapon's huge potential in PVE battles and some PVP situations. Not to mention it's an interesting weapon.

What does it do

The catalyst gives a single perk, Infinite Curse, with only one effect; extend the expiration of String of Curses. The curse string is triggered on kill and does four things to Bad Juju:

  • Complete the entire journal.
  • Increases damage for a short time.
  • Gives you a burst of super energy.
  • The weapon fires automatically while Line of Curses is active.

The curse bar can stack up to five times, offering massive damage potential, tons of super energy, and ammo for days. Infinite Curse from Catalyst basically gives the player more time to stack Curse Bar with kills and increases the duration of the added damage.

How to get it

The Bad Juju Catalyst is really easy to get, but it will be quite difficult. To get the catalyst, players need to get 700 fighter kills in Strikes, Crucible, or Gambit. After the 700th combatant is killed, the Bad Juju Catalyst will drop.

Hints

Any combination of actions is suitable, and multiple actions are recommended to the player's sanity. Hitting is probably the fastest way to kill 700 enemies. Bad Juju is actually a pretty good weapon to annihilate these kills considering the String of Curses perk works well in PVE.

Alternatively, players can use Crucible Survival Mode to quickly kill enemies. It depends on player skill and team composition to be faster than Strikes, but it's possible.
