The coolest weapon in Resident Evil Village has to be the LZ Answerer, which is basically a lightsaber. Here's how players can unlock it.
Resident Evil Village has a variety of weapons capable of destroying enemies in the way of players. Creatures like lycans, witches, and Donna Benevento can be destroyed with one of the most intriguing melee weapons in the Resident Evil series: LZ Answerer. The LZ Answerer is clearly modeled after the famous Star Wars lightsaber, and even includes a dual-blade mode reminiscent of beloved villain Darth Maul.
Resident Evil Village players will only gain access to LZ Answerer after completing a series of events. First, players must already complete the main story. After completing the game, an additional content store will open, where players can purchase the "Mercenaries" mode. This mode costs 100 Challenge Points (CP) and will serve as the basis for unlocking the LZ Answerer.
Players must complete all levels in "Mercenaries" mode and reach a rank of at least SS on each of them. This achievement is a real feat, requiring players to keep pushing their limits in order to reach the second highest rank of SS. However, the hard way in Mercenary Mode is worth it: as a reward, players will be able to purchase the LZ Answerer from the DLC store for 70,000 CP.
Once players have collected enough challenge points to unlock the LZ Answerer, they must complete the final step to finally master the lightsaber in the Resident Evil version. Return to story mode to find the Duke. After unlocking LZ Answerer in the additional content store, it can be purchased from him. The lightsaber costs 200 lei in Duke's shop, but it's the last purchase required to acquire one of the coolest weapons in Resident Evil's 25-year history.
LZ Answerer has two modes and three colors that can be switched for different effects. The first mode is the single blade mode, which is used in the same way as the standard melee weapon, the knife. Players can switch to dual blade mode, unlike Star Wars characters like Bastila, to use as a staff-like melee weapon. The dual blade mode has a similar animation to the karambit knife. Although the animations of the LZ Answerer are similar to other weapons in Resident Evil Village, it is much more powerful.
The LZ Answerer also has three different colors that can be switched between by holding the aim button (L2 or LT) and pressing the interact button (X or A). The default color is red, which gives players a more powerful blade that deals more damage per hit. The next color, blue, is no different from red. The final color, green, deals less damage than the other colors, but also heals players when they attack enemies. Cutting through hordes of enemies has never been so pleasant.
