What are gold bolts in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Gold bolts are used to automatically unlock cheats and extras to use in the game, ranging from things like Big Head Mode to extra filters for Photo Mode. They open one after the other, that is, the golden bolt does not open anything specific, but only what is in line.
You can see what you've unlocked with gold bolts in Rift Apart by pressing the touch button on the DualSense and then pressing R1 until you reach the collectibles. Scroll through what you'll find in the Golden Bolts section and turn the rewards you want on and off at any time.
Usually at least one gold bolt can be collected in each level. Most of them can be found by simply following them on the map. Here's what they look like on your map.
