Focus on getting awesome chains. You want the chains you've created to start "shaking" before you break them. This will create a time extension block for you.
Stacking time extension blocks is a free way to shake up the board when the going gets bleak.
Use the peripherals to determine which colors are the most, then destroy the rest to force more of the colors you are looking for to appear, this will make creating large chains much easier.
Look for those annoying blocks RIGHT in the middle of a sea of monochromatic blocks, they will give you a lot of headaches if you leave them there.
Try not to break your chains before they shake, if it's not an amazing chain, you won't get a block of time for effort, and there are so many of them if you want to get your 100k.
Avoid shooting at penalty blocks at all times. Sounds obvious, but just one such block can quickly break the chain and end your attempt. Keep in mind that hitting one of them will spawn even more of them.
Do not panic! If you break a big chain too early, make it your advantage and use the new blocks to create a new chain.
