Trading items with other players is one of the coolest parts of the Rocket League, but there are a few requirements you need to fulfill.

Find out which level you need to have and more in our handy guide. It's fair to say that Rocket League took over the gaming world when it came out in the summer of 2015. Combining easy-to-learn mechanics and a seemingly endless skill ceiling, the game continues to gain popularity among casual and competitive players. The sheer number of cosmetic items also add some intrigue to the game, and the nature of the drop of these items means that some players may never see certain items drop. Fortunately, there is an item trade in the Rocket League, which allows players to purchase cosmetic items that they otherwise would not be able to obtain.

Trading in the Rocket League is fairly straightforward, but there are some minimum requirements for player accounts that must be met before they become tradeable. These requirements were introduced by the developer Psyonix in order to ensure safe trading for all players. These requirements range from enabling two-factor authentication to a minimum XP level per account.

What level do you need to be to trade in the Rocket League?

To be able to trade with your Rocket League account, you must have reached XP-level 30. Players can accumulate XP by playing both online against real people and offline against bots. There are some additional requirements that every Rocket League account must meet before it can trade. Your Epic Games account must have two-factor authentication installed and enabled.

Players must also purchase at least 500 Credits or their equivalent (Esports Tokens, Starter Pack, etc.). This requirement does not apply to Rocket League accounts that were playing prior to the Free to Play Update. Finally, to be eligible to trade, an account must have accumulated 50 minutes of play time in online matches.

You can only trade items with another player on the same platform. For example, Xbox players can only trade with other Xbox players. Each platform account linked to your Epic Games account requires 50 minutes of game time to trade. There are also some restrictions on account trading related directly to the XP level. Player accounts from level 30 to 99 are capped at ten trades per day and a limit of 2,000 credits per trade. Player accounts from level 100 to 249 have unlimited trades per day and a limit of 10,000 credits per trade. Player accounts of level 250 and above have an unlimited number of trades per day and a limit of 100,000 credits per trade.
