Apex Legends is one of the most popular games right now. New patch is out March 9, 2021.

What to expect from the new March 9 Apex Legends patch?
The March 9 patch for Apex Legends also brings us many new goodies such as new content, weapons, Legends nerfs and buffs, bug fixes and more. So let's take a look at them all.
Availability of the new platform
Nintendo Switch with March 9, 2021
New content
- New Event: Chaos Theory - will last from 9 to 23 March 2021.
- Chaos Theory has a Ring Fury Escalation Takeover game mode.
- New City: Cure Caustic
- Removed Mirage Voyage.
- New Loot: Heat Shield
- Added new relics for Bangalore.
Legends of Nerfs and Buffs
Caustic
- Gas Grenade cooldown increased from 2.5 minutes to 3.5 minutes.
- Reduced gas damage from 6-12 to 5.
Pathfinder
- Removed low profile.
- Gibraltar
- Dome of Protection: Removed 15% faster use of healing items.
Horizon
- Black Hole cooldown increased from 2 minutes to 3 minutes.
- Revenant
Silence: Now disables Mirage's hidden respawn/spawn as well as Octane's quick heal.
- Wattson
- Wattson now has a passive shield regeneration at a rate of 0.5 HP/s (half of Octane's current health regeneration rate). Interception Pylon regeneration stacks.
- Rampart
- Reinforced Cover: Explosives will normally deal damage to Reinforced Cover instead of dealing 200 damage.
- Mounted Minigun "Sheila": Explosives normally deal damage to Sheila instead of 175.

Weapon optics
- All standard Gold AR and LMG optics upgraded to 2x HCOG "Bruiser".
- Mastiff Shotgun
- Pellets damage reduced from 13 to 11.
- Rate of fire increased from 1.0 to 1.1.
Wingman
- Magazine size increased from 5/6/7/8 to 6/7/8/9.
- Hemlok Burst AR
- Increased spread of fire from the hip.
Bug Fixes Apex Legends March 9 Patch Notes
General
- Fixed an issue that prevented Steam users from sending friend requests to each other.
- Usernames are now updated when a user switches between the Origin client and the Steam client.
Gibraltar
Gun Shield: Fixed an issue that prevented Gibraltar from registering hits when releasing an ADS and shooting at the same time while it is active.
Ghost
- Into the Void: Can no longer be canceled by jumping into a wall.
- The Perpetual Motion skydiving emote will now work with legendary skins.
Caustic
- Fixed an issue that caused the gas to flicker for some players affected by it.
Octane
Launchpad:
- Using the same jump pad multiple times no longer disables double jumps.
- Players can no longer "slide" on a wall after using it.
Crypto
Surveillance Drone:
- Crypto's animation summoning his drone can no longer be missed by throwing a holographic spray.
- Mastiff Shotgun and 30-30 Repeater reload will no longer be faster in the Crypto Drone.
- Crypto can no longer teleport to the replicator.
Loba
- Robber's Best Friend: Fixed several areas Loba could teleport to, causing her to get stuck.
Rampart
- Sheila Minigun Mounted: Players can no longer use Sheila to get under the world if they are placed too close to the phase runner on Olympus.
Horizon
Gravity lift:
- Fixed Gravity Elevator falling through the floor when used on the train tracks in the World's End Sorting Factory.
- Using a tether after Gravity Lift no longer increases accuracy.
Fuse
mother lode:
- Now damages and destroys launch pads.
- While under a small enclosure, players will no longer be pushed out after using it.
- Players can no longer double their grenades after looting a dead Fuse death crate.
Mastiff Shotgun
- Dropping and picking up a mastiff no longer causes it to recharge.
- 30-30 repeater
- Dropping and picking up 30-30 will no longer cause it to recharge.
- There will now be a spread deflection when shooting and jumping from the ADS.
Apex Legends Quality of Life Update March 9th.
Added "no fill" matchmaking option
- Up to 6 unfilled players in one match.
- Not available in ranked leagues.
A survival slot has been added to the inventory, which can be used to store survival items such as heat shields and mobile spawn beacons.
Kings Canyon loot updates:
- Wooden shacks should have a few more on the map, and generally should be slightly higher quality.
- Spotted Lake quality downgraded from high to medium.
- Crash Site has redistributed the loot in this area a bit. The amount will remain the same, but the ship should have higher quality loot.
- Caustic's Treatment has more loot than Water Treatment and remains high quality.
- Replacing Locked Weapon Optics - For weapons with fully locked attachment slots, such as fully equipped weapons and weapon packs (except the Kraber .50-Cal Sniper), you can now remove the optic and replace it with a different scope.
- Assists have been added to the in-game HUD next to kills.
- Assists and strikes have been added to your squad banners and will be displayed at the end of the match.
- Club names are now displayed in the match summary and champion screen if all players are members of the same club.
- Items will no longer "stick" to the Replicator when dropped onto the Replicator.
- Icon Progress - For icons with longer progress, hovering over the icon displays additional information.
- While spawning in a dropship, you can now ping your own death box to make it easier to find.
- Golden Backpack - Players who are revived with a Golden Backpack will have an energy crackle - depending on the level of armor they are wearing - when respawning. They will also display the effects of healing the armor when the revive is completed.
- PC players can now return to the title screen from the lobby to switch data centers without restarting the game.
- Added numbers to advanced appearance controls.
- When scanning the Survey Beacon for Ring 6, you should now see where Ring 6 ends.
- Moved "Inspect Weapon" to Emote Wheel by default. It can be bound to any key on the PC.
