While this is one of the best weapons in Walheim, many players will want to know how to craft the Stagbreaker, known as a weapon worthy of the gods.

Viking-inspired survival game Valheim hit the scene earlier this month and has taken Steam by storm ever since. Valheim tops the Steam Bestseller charts for the third week in a row. Many players will be looking for better weapons to survive the purgatory of the game's enemies.

Collecting all materials for Stagbreaker

The main material that players will need to collect in order to make a Stagbreaker is the main wood and 20 pieces of wood. While mining the main timber in Walheim is not the hardest part of the game, it can be a challenge for players just starting out. The specific trees from which the main timber falls are the pines, which are located in the Black Forest biome. Any ax will work for chopping pines, but players should keep an eye out for the many enemies that roam the Black Forest.

The second material players will need for the Stagbreaker is five deer trophies. The deer can be found all over the map, and when killed, it randomly drops trophies. The deer is easy to scare and will run away, so it is recommended that players get used to using the bow to kill creatures. Once players get used to the specific sounds that deer make in Walheim, finding them becomes easy.

The third and final item that players will need for the Stagbreaker is two skin clippers. Sometimes players can actually find scraps of leather from deer falls. Boars tend to be an easier way to get leather scraps, especially for players who don't want to hunt deer in the forest. Once players have enough of all three items, the next step is to make sure their workbench is up to date.

Workbench update

The choice for creating a Stagbreaker will only become available after the workbench reaches the second level. Fortunately, the upgrade process isn't all that difficult. Players will need to create an add-on for the workbench chopping block, which will be possible if the players have already found the flint before. Chopping requires 10 wood and 10 flint, and once done, there will be more options for crafting and upgrading items.

Using the Stagbreaker as a weapon

The Stagbreaker is just one of the many weapons available in Valheim, and fans are likely to get even more features added to the game as development continues. The Valheim developers are pleased with the success of the game and are determined to improve the survival game and provide players with new content throughout the year.

Valheim is now available for Early Access on PC.
