If you want to see how packages work without spending any money, check out this Genshin Impact Call Simulator.
If you're wondering how likely it is to pull a 5-star character like Diluc, Jean, or Keqing out of packages, you probably want to check out the Genshin Impact call simulator.
For those who don't understand what this means, Genshin Impact call simulators are special programs designed to simulate rolling. This means they take the Genshin Impact gacha structure or its Wish system, which is based on spending Primogems and Fates on microtransaction-like packages and letting you ride for free. The downside is that you obviously don't get these characters in the game. However, you will get a good idea of how likely - or unlikely - you will open them when it comes to the actual trade.
Here's everything you need to know about the Genshin Impact Call Simulator and why you should use it.
Genshin Impact how likely are you to get 5 stars characters?
I personally spent some time playing with two separate Genshin Impact summoning simulators. Initially, I just used one, but consulted the second to confirm the probabilities I saw and to ensure that the algorithm I witnessed was an accurate representation of the real one.
On the next cast, I got Fischl - a 4-star character, of course, but better than a few 5-stars. It was pure luck: I could get any 4-star character or weapon here. I just accidentally got a good one. Keep in mind that these are 100 throws right now, and we've only seen two decent throws for characters - even if they were within ten throws of each other, that's still an average of one good fighter per 50 Destiny. After that, it took another 130 rolls to get the Mona, which means that out of 230 rolls I got three "top tier" pulls. This is shit.
I tried another Genshin Impact summon simulator and also got my first decent dash after exactly 90 throws. This time it was Jin, a support character based on Anemo and acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonia. I got a 5-star weapon - the Skyward Spine polearm - after 80 rolls. The next 90 throws were pretty awful, but then I got two 5-star swords, a 4-star sword and Barbara in one 10-move. It's worth noting that this was after 270 playthroughs in this simulator - and exactly 500 in both - but it looks like you can get multiple 5-star weapons or characters in a single batch of ten throws. You just need to be immensely lucky.
I think the value of this is that yes, you can get some pretty decent characters from Wishes. In 500 rolls, I got three 5-star characters and three 5-star weapons. But 500 desires is a lot. Keep in mind that 980 Primogems costs $ 14.99 and a ten-pack pack costs 1,600 Primogems. We rolled 50 packs of ten - that's $ 750.
Using the Genshin Impact challenge simulator shows that you can make good throws. But it also shows you how much money it might take before luck is finally on your side - and, as you can see above, sometimes it can be a lot.
