Stardew Valley is a deceptively simple game. In fact, there is so much to do that it can quickly become overwhelming and confusing.

Most importantly, the game does not hold your hand. She just lowers you to your farm, and then you yourself have to figure it out. With so many different crafting recipes and cool items in the game, it's important to know where to find crafting ingredients and the basic resources needed to make them. However, the game again does not tell you this just like that. You have to go through trial and error, trying to figure everything out, which can upset perfectionists. This handy guide will show you the most common places to get the most basic resources.

Where to find a tree in Stardew Valley

You can cut down any tree you find in the city, in the forest or on the farm to get wood.

Trees outside the farm will grow on their own, and if you don't collect seeds on the farm, trees will grow from acorns, pine cones, and the like.

Where to Find Hardwood in Stardew Valley

Redwood, large stumps, and large logs all cut hardwood if you have the right ax for the job. It is best to have a steel ax or better, although large stumps can be broken with a copper axe, and mahogany with any axe.

The Secret Forest is the best place to come back for hardwood, which is regularly renewed. About 12 pieces of hardwood can be harvested there daily. Those with a timber farm get 16 hardwood respawns per day.

Where to find stone in Stardew Valley

Break any small rock or large boulder to throw a rock. When you first arrive at the farm, there will be a bunch of rocks around that you can break.

You can also head to the mines and quarry when they are unlocked to get some more stone. Stones will respawn daily.

Where to Find Juice in Stardew Valley

When cutting down any kind of tree, sap will drip from it. You can also install a faucet on a redwood tree to get sap regularly.

Where to find coal in Stardew Valley

Go to the mines. Any rocks you break can bring in some coal. If you meet dust sprites in the mines, then, by killing them, you will also receive several pieces of coal.

As a last resort, you can always buy coal from Clint the blacksmith.

Where to Find Fiber in Stardew Valley

Using the scythe, when you first arrive at the farm, start to destroy the weeds that are scattered throughout the land.

These weeds can also be found in the forest and some areas of the mines.

Where to Find Copper Ore in Stardew Valley

To get copper ore, you need to mine copper nodes. In mines, the best levels to find a ton of these nodes are between 31 and 39.

Wooden crates can sometimes give a little, as well as places with artifacts. If the quarry is unlocked, there is also a chance to find copper there.

Where to Find Iron Ore in Stardew Valley

To get iron, you need to break the iron knot with a pickaxe. The best place to do this is in the mines, and the highest concentration of iron nodes is between levels 41 and 79.

The quarry can also spawn some iron nodes if you're lucky.

Where to find gold ore in Stardew Valley

Gold knots must be broken in order to mine gold ore. These nodes are most numerous in mines after level 80.

The Quarry also occasionally spawns Gold Nodes, and the Ghosts found in the Mines have a small chance of dropping Gold Ore.

Where to Find Iridium Ore in Stardew Valley

To find iridium ore, it's best to ignore the mines and go deeper into the Skull Cave. The deeper you go, the more likely you are to find iridium ore, either naturally or from iridium bats. Alternatively, you can mine magma and omni-geodes in normal mines located between levels 115 and 119.

If you're lucky, Iridium knots can sometimes spawn in the quarry. When a meteorite hits the farm, you can mine six Iridium Ores from it with the right tool.

If you successfully complete Grandpa's assessment and he gives you four candles, he will give you a Statue of Perfection, which will earn you several pieces of Iridium Ore per day.

Where to find radioactive ore in Stardew Valley

This unique ore can be found in the Skull Cave or in the mines if you have the Challenge quest active.

Go to the Skull Cave during the Skull Cave Invasion quest or the Mines during the Danger in the Deep quest and they will spawn.

Where to Find Quartz in Stardew Valley

Quartz is a very common material that can be found mainly in resource mines.

It does not need to be mined, it appears on almost all floors of the mine, from 1 to 120.

Where to Find the Power Battery in Stardew Valley

To get a battery pack yourself, you need to craft a lightning rod and place it on the farm. If a charged rod is struck by lightning, then the next day it will give you a battery pack.

The solar panels will also provide you with a battery after seven days of constant sunshine. In addition, you can buy batteries by visiting the cart in the forest.

Where to Find Clay in Stardew Valley

Clay is another very common resource that is most often found when excavating artifact sites. When digging randomly in the mud and sand, there is a chance to find some clay.

Where to find Ash Shards in Stardew Valley

Travel to Ginger Island and visit the volcano, where ash fragments are found in abundance. Sometimes enemies like Magma can also drop shards.

Where to Find Bug Meat in Stardew Valley

Bug Meat is probably one of the first resources you get when you enter the mines. The first levels of the mines are full of insect enemies, and they all have a chance to drop beetle meat. Enemies will respawn regularly.

Where to find slime in Stardew Valley

Slime drops from one of the most common enemies found in the Mines and Skull Cave. It doesn't matter what color or type of slime is, as they all have a high chance of dropping normal slime.

Where to Find Bat Wings in Stardew Valley

To get bat wings, you need to find bats. An ideal place to start is in the mines, where you can find normal, frost and lava bats.

Ignore the iridium bats in Skull Cave as they don't bring wings.

The best levels to find bats in normal mines are between 31 and 119, which is pretty much the majority of mine levels.

Where to find Solar Essence in Stardew Valley

Various enemies encountered in the mines and Skull Cave have a chance to drop Solar Essence. The easiest way to deal with ghosts is between levels 51 and 79. After that, metal heads can drop between levels 80 and 119.

Where to Find Void Essence in Stardew Valley

In the mines and Skull Cave, a few enemies can drop the essence of the void, but it is safest to fight shadow brutes. These creatures are found in mines after level 80, along with shadow shamans, which also drop as void essence.

In the Skull Cavern, look for snakes that have a near 99% chance to drop as Void Essence and can spawn on any floor.

Where to Find Bone Fragments in Stardew Valley

If you haven't unlocked Ginger Island yet, head into the mines and find some skeletons between levels 71 and 79. They usually drop bone fragments when killed. In the Skull Cave, they can be found randomly in crates. Sometimes when excavating in places of artifacts there is a small chance to find them.

If Ginger Island is unlocked, lava lures in the volcano dungeon can drop bone fragments. The dig site on the island also contains several bone knots that can be harvested to obtain bone fragments.
