Red Solstice 2: Survivors is a tense game where small squads of elite soldiers survive endless hordes of enemies.

Desperately trying to complete the assigned tasks in an attempt to save humanity. Players will spend a lot of time customizing their foot soldiers to maximize damage output, with the soldier class being the starting point for determining the combat role. This guide will cover all the main soldier classes in Red Solstice 2.

Every squad of elite Special Forces Marines needs a balanced composition to face various threats, adapt to an ever-changing battlefield, and achieve a wide range of objectives.

Storm

The Assault class is the most flexible and widespread "universal" with the widest possibilities for various equipment options. They can be balanced or attack oriented with speed-boosting modules and rapid-fire weapons, or they can be heavy support and firepower-boosting with upgrades. Stormtroopers are the workhorse of any squad, able to respond to almost any threat. However, their lack of specialization will make it difficult for them to counter some of the tougher and more unique mutant enemies.

Medic

The Medic class is similar to the Assault in many ways, having much of the same equipment such as weapons and upgrade modules. The biggest difference is that while the Assault is meant to fight and complete missions, the Medic makes sure that all other classes can finish the fight unscathed. In the early stages of missions where the mutant enemies have not yet developed to dangerous levels, the Medics can act more like stormtroopers, but in the later stages your squad will benefit greatly from the durability and resilience of the Medics.

Heavy

The heavy ones specialize in large guns with large magazines to deal high damage. Heavyweights typically trade speed for the ability to carry high-powered weapons such as machine guns, miniguns, and autocannons, which not only allow them to take out large numbers of low-level enemies, but also suppress and slow down larger, stronger opponents. The Heavy also has a variety of weapon-related abilities, such as activating a shoulder turret or resupplying ammo.

Intelligence service

The scout class is perhaps the most risky and difficult to learn and use, but no less valuable. The value of Scout Soldiers lies in their speed and ability to provide line of sight to targets, allowing them to better navigate the battlefield. In terms of damage, they mostly use light weapons, but can also use powerful summoning abilities like artillery strikes.

Destroyer

The Demolition class is an explosive relative of the Heavy class, but instead of large guns, this class emphasizes large explosives and armor penetration abilities. Relatively speaking, this class is more suitable for fighting large opponents, which is an indispensable advantage in the later stages of any mission. Unlike the Heavy class, which has a wide range of weapons to suit different playstyles, the Destroyer is probably the most specialized and niche class.

Shooter

Unlike the explosive Demolition soldier, the Marksman class is more focused on precision damage. The Marksman class has one of the longest ranged weapons of any class and synergizes very well with the Recon class to take advantage of the ranged attack. In terms of role within the squad, the Marksman also acts as another eye providing intelligence and tactical awareness to the team.

Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each class of soldier is just the beginning of building an effective team. Every soldier can benefit from add-ons and modules, and it's even better to have a good team of players with whom to coordinate to take on tactical challenges on the go.
