Icarus awaits you harsh Icarus, the greatest mistake in the history of mankind. In pursuit of wealth, you have to scout the area, gather, make tools and hunt down animals. Here's how to use sleeping bags and beds.

How to use sleeping bags and beds in Icarus?

Beds and wooden beds in Icarus must be unlocked in the tech tree. Here are the requirements:

Bed dress

  • Level 1 - can be unlocked at the very beginning after you learn how to make a fire. You can then spend a point to study this blueprint.
  • Materials - 20x fiber, 10x stick, 20x fur and 10x leather.

wooden beds

  • Level 2 - To unlock the crafting bench, you must reach level 10. Then reach level 15 to unlock the Carpenter's Bench. You can then spend a point to study this blueprint.
  • Materials - 20x refined wood, 30x fur, 10x leather and 10x copper nails.

Due to the materials and effort involved in crafting them, it's more than likely that you'll find yourself crafting bedding from the beginning to the end of the game. Plus, when you go exploring, you don't want to lug around a ton of things that still need to be finalized.

New spawn points

Even if you have these items, they will be useless if you just lay them out in the open. Instead, you will have to build a shelter. A fairly common option is to create wooden structures (i.e. walls and roofs) sufficient to enclose the object. If you do it right, holding the "E" key will turn a bed or a wooden bed into a new spawn point in Icarus.

  • Note 1: If you need to move to a new location, you can hover over a fixture and press "Y". It will be dismantled and returned to your inventory.
  • Note 2: If you want to rest a bit, you need to create a campfire (8x fiber, 8x stick and 24x stone). You can sleep in a sleeping bag or on a wooden bed next to which there is a fire.

Hollow rock formations

If you don't want to lug around various materials, you can use a stone pickaxe (8x fiber, 8x stick and 24x stone). When you see a large rock formation, you can gouge a hole in it and cut a tunnel with this tool. Make sure the ground is level and there is enough space inside. Then place a bed in this place.

The game will assume that you have made a hideout and the bed will be covered, allowing you to use it as a temporary spawn point in Icarus.

This is everything you need to know about how to use sleeping bags and beds in Icarus.
