In Subnautica: Below Zero, players will need Silver for various crafting recipes, so it's important to know where to find it.

When players first land on planet 4546B, they have nothing but a spacesuit on their back. Soon they will have access to new tools, weapons, technology and more to help them dive deeper, survive longer, and unlock the mysteries of Subnautica: Below Zero. Electricity is a vital part of it all, and for some of the more complex recipes, players will need a fair amount of Silver Ore. While exploring the starting region, lucky players may find some silver ore, but those who want more will have to figure out how best to mine it.

Subnautica: Below Zero challenges players to survive in a hostile and predominantly underwater environment, and to do so successfully, they will have to use everything at their disposal. Silver can be used to craft a variety of very useful items, so it's in the best interest of players to stock up on this valuable resource.

Subnautica: Below Zero where to find silver

One of the main ways to get silver in Subnautica: Below Zero is to find and destroy Argentine exits. They can be found in a wide variety of biomes, including the Arctic Kelp Forest where the player starts the game. While this may net the player one or two pieces of silver, they can be found in large numbers in large resource deposits. Large silver deposits can spawn in Arctic Spires, Crystal Caverns, Koppa Mine, Lilypad Rift, and Lilypad Isles. Finally, Silver Ore Veins can be found in the Glacial Bay and Glacial Basin biomes.

Subnautica: Below Zero what silver is for

Silver is used in four different crafting recipes, but perhaps the most important one is the high capacity oxygen tank. Players can craft a standard oxygen tank using only titanium and fiber mesh, but in order to upgrade it and increase the amount of oxygen, they will need silver. Other recipes that require silver include a set of wires, an ion battery, and a parallel processing unit. Finally, silver is needed to increase the speed of the scanner.

By searching in these places, players will easily find all the silver needed for the aforementioned items. The High Capacity Oxygen Tank is definitely the one to go for as it will allow players more freedom to explore the frozen depths, but all other items also have unique uses.
