How to research and duplicate items in the Terraria Journey 1.4. The new Terraria 1.4 update contains a number of new additions to the title, including a new mode called Travel.
In Journey mode, players can control a variety of game mechanisms, including things like exploring and duplicating items. To help you do it yourself, use our guide to researching and duplicating items below.
Important: Make sure you have Terraria 1.4 installed to access Travel Mode.
The exploration and duplication process is fairly straightforward in Terraria.
To duplicate items in Travel mode, you must first collect enough of the item you want to duplicate in order to complete the research. Both of these options can be found in the Power menu in the inventory screen. To make the process clearer, here's an example for you:
- Find / build 100 torches.
- Place the torches on the study (requires 100).
- Torch research.
- Once fully explored, it can be duplicated using duplication.
- When duplicated, you get a full set of items.
The above process requires collecting the items you want to duplicate so you can fully explore them. This means finding items, collecting items, etc. When you do research, you will lose the stack you send, so be careful. Ideally, wait until you have a full stack to send.
