This huge robot is present only during the second run of the game (in hard mode). We'll give you various tips on how to beat him, so take it easy. In addition, you will also find a PowerPyx video which will undoubtedly be very helpful!

You must first complete Final Fantasy VII Remake at least once, unlock Hard Mode, and then continue with this guide. Remember, as soon as you restart the game, you will be notified of a new battle in VR Simulator in Chapter 17. Load it through the Chapter Select section (unlocked at the end of the first race) and you will have a fighting monster in the fifth round of the fourteenth challenge. This battle, once completed, will unlock the following trophy:

To fight this boss, you will have to load Chapter 17 into Hard Mode and start the cult center with Chadley, who will tell you that new challenges await you. You can't go wrong, he's in the hallway right after the first enemy you are fighting in this chapter.

If you don't have Aerith on your team, you need to download the Chapter 9 rescue and accept the challenge NOW after defeating Hell House. This will be your only chance to get her into the group, and a healer like her will always come in handy. The boss itself is not difficult to defeat, but getting to him with the right equipment will be a little more difficult. The road will be very steep, so be careful. First you have to defeat Shiva, Fat Chocobo, Leviathan, Bahamut (who will provoke Ifrit), and only at the end can you meet with Ubris.

How to get to Ubris

As always, we're here to give you some advice on the best team to play with. Also for Malboro we said that the team formed by Cloud, Tifa and Aerith is highly recommended, but you can always choose the formation that suits you best, of course. Cloud is the strongest of all the playable characters, Tifa can be very effective at tricks, so Stromara, the enemy and Aerith, well, she is the best curator around, so ...

For all these battles, the basic strategy remains the same. Always fight Cloud and True Strike using Focused Thrust and Starshower to increase the bar for hitting opponents, and once activated, use True Strike and True Strike to increase the percentage, while Cloud will use its strongest skills like Blade Burst or Triple Slash. Aerith will always have to heal with Magnify-Cure as soon as the character falls below half his health.

The fourth round is the really tricky part. Bahamut alone - a deadly enough enemy, think with Ifrit on his side ... exactly. The problem is his Megaflare, which immediately deals 9999 damage to all 3 characters. It's worth saving Cloud and Tifa's Limit Break for Ifrit. It can be a real threat, so eliminating it has the highest priority, Bahamut can wait. Fortunately, his HP is low enough that Ascension or Dolphin Surge can erase half of his health or kill him altogether. After that, Bahamut will start counting down to another Megaflar, but at the moment he lacks HP and you must kill him with the tactics mentioned above.

How to defeat Ubris

After all this, Ubris will be a piece of cake. Like Marlboro, the best solution is to put yourself behind your feet and keep attacking him in Stremarlo. This will expel the jets of fire, so watch where you are. His most annoying attack is Capture, where he grabs one of the characters, and finally Brutal Tackle to knock them down and kill them instantly. The only way to stop him is to attack his arm long enough to knock down an ally. It's funny that all of his attacks, except for Beam Cannon, come from close range. This way, Aerith will keep her far enough from the battle to heal the other two as they attack the shoulders of this pile of scrap. Ubris has Lightning as a weak point, so go hard with Mother.

After winning, you will be rewarded with the best accessory in the game: the Götterdämmerung. This guarantees the Ultimate Gap at the start of each fight and fills the Ultimate Gap gradually during the fight (usually in 1-2 minutes). Nice reward for beating Prototype, huh?

That's all for this guide, we hope these tips help you on your adventures in Final Fantasy VII Remake. We thank you as always and look forward to seeing you in the following guides!
