Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time features a "Pass N. Play" co-op mode that allows players to play through the story with friends.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is finally available worldwide and brings a lot of new content to Crash's latest adventure. In addition to new hidden gems, extra challenging levels with flashbacks, and tons of new skins, Crash 4 also offers players the chance to play with friends.

Not so long ago it became known that Crash Bandicoot 4 will include multiplayer and co-op modes for 1-4 players. For those hoping to play the "Pass N. Play" co-op mode with others, players will need to unlock the in-game world map by beating the first couple of levels. Co-op mode can be selected by pausing the game and going through the options menu. Up to four players can play through the main campaign together, passing the controller each time one of them dies or reaches a checkpoint, or both.

Crash 4 also features standalone multiplayer challenges. The multiplayer mode is called Bandicoot Battle and is available from the game's main menu. 1 to 4 players can take part in two multiplayer challenges called Checkpoint Race and Crate Combo. Checkpoint Race is a time trial mode where players try to reach checkpoints faster than others, while Crate Combo focuses on breaking crates and the winner of the round is the player with the most crates. During the game, players will have a choice of four different characters - Crash, Coco, Fake Crash and Fake Coco.

Both co-op and multiplayer modes in Crash Bandicoot 4 are only available locally, meaning players must be in the same room to participate in the game on the same gaming system. Perhaps in the future, the developer will make the multiplayer mode available on the Internet, but for now, the game can be enjoyed by players gathered at home.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
