With Latias returning as a raid boss for a limited time in Pokemon GO. Many are probably thrilled to have added a dual legendary Dragon or Psychic type to their list. This is especially true for those who haven't caught a Pokémon before, or for those looking to collect a shiny new Latias variant. Either way, just follow this guide to defeat and capture this Pokémon. Raid Boss Latias CP can go up to 48080 and his CP capture reached 2507 CP at 25 and 100% IV in windy conditions. Level 20 from 100% IV without weather boost can drop before 1921. This means LESS than 3 good players in Pokemon GO with the correct counters, but completing a raid with 7 or more is perfect.

Latias special skills:
Dragon Breath (Dragon-type fast move)
Zen Headbutt (quick psyche type)
Psychic (Charged, 1 Psychic-type movement bar)
Thunder (charged, 1 bar, electric stroke)
Outrage (paid, move 2 dragon type bars)

The most devastating set of moves, at least for Dragon Tokens, is Dragon's Breath or Outrage. Avoid any flying types like Dragonite vs Thunder Latia and be mindful of Ghost types when facing Zen headbutt, Psychic Latia. The trick is to actually map the appropriate Pokemon GO counter to the Latias move set.

Weather

Windy weather in Pokemon GO is the deadliest for Latias, but it also increases CP and Dragon counters, which means it's not all bad news. Rain will boost his Thunder attack, but all other conditions - with the exception of Sunny and Partly Cloudy - will increase Latias' other type of meter.

The best combinations

Latias has a variety of weak points to exploit, including moves such as Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Beetle, Ghost, and Ice. The use of these tokens, combined with the weather and proper anticipation of its turn set, can go a long way in keeping this Legendary in Pokemon GO safe. We're recommending the following Pokémon and moving sets to fight Latias:

Palkia (Dragon Tail or Dragon Meteor)
Dragonite (Dragon Tail or Dragon Meteor)
Mamoswine (Powder Snow or Avalanche)
Tyranitar (bite or crunch)
Gengar (Sucker Punch or Shadow Ball)
Scizor (Fury Cutter or X-Scissor)

Using these Pokémon against Latias with a specific move set and either a favorable weather type will allow the player to take down the legendary dual type and hopefully add a brilliant variant of it to their roster.
