The Iron Mace is a strong weapon for Walheim players who want to delve deeper into the swamp biome in search of gook, blood bags, innards, and more.
There are many different weapons in Valheim that deal different amounts of damage. One of the many types are maces and hammers that deal blunt damage.
Various types of damage
Different creatures in the land of Walheim are weak or strong against different kinds of damage. For example, Surtlings, which are the main source of collecting Sertling Cores, don't take much damage from elemental fire arrows. In addition, skeletons take less damage from piercing sources and much more from blunt ones, such as maces. Therefore, players should carry a variety of weapons with them to make sure that whatever they are fighting, they can deal as much damage as possible.
Iron mace
The Iron Mace is a blunt weapon crafted from Iron, Wood, and Leather Scraps in Valheim. To obtain firewood, players can chop down almost any tree in the game, and skin scraps come from boars. Players can easily get a lot of trimmings by leaving a few boars tamed for breeding and using some of their offspring for both raw meat and trimmings. The wild boar can also be found quite easily in the wild in meadows and in the Black Forest.
As for Iron, players will need to kill the second boss of Valheim called the Elder. This tree will drop something called the Swamp Key, which opens the crypts in Valheim. After obtaining the Swamp Key, players can start digging through the Sunken Crypts in the Swamp Biome. They usually contain piles of dirty scrap that can be mined for leather scraps and scrap iron.
Mace making
Once players have collected all the required materials, they will need to smelt the iron waste in the smelter. By collecting four Woods, three Leather Scraps, and 20 Valheim Smelted Iron, players will be able to craft an Iron Mace at the Level 2 Forge. After that, the mace can be improved.

Because Valheim's maces, hammers, and clubs deal blunt damage, they're great for skeletons, blobs, slugs, and even stone golems. The Iron Mace is a fantastic Tier 3 weapon for players just starting out in the murky waters of the Swamp Biome.
