Minecraft was released in 2009 and has been constantly updated ever since. The updates added new worlds, new creatures, modding tools and more. But finally, after 10 years of waiting, Minecraft has finally gotten composted. Sure, the latest major Minecraft update added cool underwater marine life, but can a dolphin turn useless plants into fertilizer? No. Instead, you will need a new composter block. This new block, which was added in the latest PC snapshot update, allows players to turn old plants and vegetables into healthy bone meal, which in Minecraft can make plants and trees grow faster and bigger.
How to create a plant pot
A new composter can be built using a few pieces of wood and a fence. Once built, players simply add unwanted seeds, plants, or food to the wooden box. After adding enough organic materials, players can collect some bonemeal. How plants and seeds become bone meal is another odd Minecraft mystery. Better not to think about it. Fans have already created mods, adding their own composter blocks to the game, like this mod added last year. But now composting is part of the vanilla Minecraft experience.
While the new composting block is useful for turning excess crops into bonemeal, players also use the new block for decoration. Some Minecraft fans think they look like bee hives and use compost blocks as artificial hives. Currently, if you want to do the composting yourself, you will need to play the Java version of Minecraft and activate snapshots in the Minecraft launcher. Although, like most snapshot features, these compost blocks will be added to other versions of the game.
