The lockpick is an extremely useful tool that will allow your character to open locked rooms, containers, and chests that you may come across while exploring the world of Disco Elysium. Inside you can find useful healing items, clothes and money.
How to get a lockpick in Disco Elysium
You can get a lockpick at the beginning of the game. Exit the hotel and go to Kim's car. Look inside, then open the toolbox - there you will find a crowbar. Simply select the dialog option highlighted in the picture above and the item will go into your inventory.
When you have a fork in your inventory and you are next to a chest or container, you will notice that the white outline has turned blue. During some conversations, such as the dialogue between Harrier and Kim near the locked container at the back of the hotel, you can see a dialogue option that will allow you to use a punch. However, this requires a certain amount of physical points, which means you can fail a skill check to unlock it by force.
