In this guide, we will explain how you can create your own habitat in Stellaris and what you need to do to do it?
How to build a Stellaris habitat?
Basic moments
The game features three different types of habitat
Basic actions:
- In order to build a new habitat, you first need to research it in your research tree.
- To begin with, it is desirable to improve the research of your engineering base in order to speed up the search for a new habitat structure.
- Once you have completed the required research, you will be able to create a habitat that will look at any planet in any given sector of the galaxy.
- When building a new habitat, you need to remember that it will reflect the planet below it. (To illustrate this with an example, if you create a planet-facing habitat with energy credits, you will be able to build a generator on that habitat.)
- Likewise, you won't be able to have a mineral generator unless your habitat comes out on a mineral-based planet.
How much does it cost to build a habitat?
- To build an Orbital Habitat, you need to spend 150 Influence and 1500 Alloy. This habitat will take 1800 days to create and will have a population of 4.
- To build the Habitat Expansion, you will need 1000 Alloys. It will take 720 days to build and will have a population of 6.
- For advanced space housing, you will have to spend 1000 alloys. This habitat will take 1440 days to create and will have a population of 8.
Why build a habitat?
As you progress in Stellaris, you will find that the expansion will be quite difficult. You will find that it is much easier to build a new habitat than to go and conquer another empire. Building a new habitat will also make it easier for you to help your citizens find housing. Another great benefit of creating a habitat in Stellaris is that you can avoid unnecessary conflicts with other empires and also constantly expand your territory.
