What are resources in Immortals Fenyx Rising is a fast-paced, cool third-person action-adventure RPG in which you'll have to travel to Ancient Greece and fight Typhon to save the Greek Gods...

The events of the game take place in the vastness of ancient Greece, where real chaos began to happen. Typhon, an ancient rival of the Greek gods, has broken free and now wants to destroy the gods and enslave the world. And everything can work out for him if you do not stand up for the protection of this world. Take up the blade and start fighting, learn how to break the curse, how to defeat Typhon, and how to save the Gods along with the whole local world ...

What do they do and where can I get them

So, you have just landed on the Golden Island. Your brother and all your teammates have been turned to stone, and you need to defeat a large red demon named Typhon to get everyone back to normal. Immortals Fenyx Rising will definitely take you to the very end.

It may seem like a daunting task, but luckily you have a range of weapons and abilities to use against the forces of evil. To upgrade your gear, abilities, and even your own attributes, there's an equally huge list of resources you'll need.

Now you probably don't really understand what these resources are or where to get them because Immortals Fenyx Rising doesn't explain it very well. That's where I came from. I went through this game blind, so you don't have to. This guide will walk you through each resource step by step, explaining what it is, what it is for, and where to get it.

As you can see, in your inventory there is a list of resources at the top right. I will go through each of them from left to right.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - Ambrosia Explained

Ambrosia, the food of the gods, is one of the most important resources in Immortals Fenyx Rising. In Greek mythology, Ambrosia bestowed longevity on the gods and was brought to them on Mount Olympus by doves. It has a similar effect in the game, but you'll have to get it yourself.

Ambrosia can be placed in the Kylix of Athena, in the Hall of the Gods, in exchange for a permanent health bar increase. Once you have collected enough - six pieces at first, and as you progress - you will be asked to return there to make an exchange.

You can find this precious material scattered around the map at various points. It is usually located on high ground or bluffs on mountains or cliffs. If you regularly use Far Sight to find points of interest on a map, I highly recommend that you do so. You must see a lot of ambrosia to pick it up. Then just go and track it with a compass.

Ambrosia is also sometimes offered as a quest reward, but don't rely on it if you want a healthy health bar. And let's face it, who doesn't.

This is what Ambrosia looks like. It doesn't seem particularly tasty to me, but immortality is immortality.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - Zeus' Lightning Explained

Zeus, part of the fast-paced storytelling duo Immortals Fenyx Rising, has unleashed his mighty lightning bolts all over the Isle of Gold. I don't think anyone had the guts to tell the ruler of the gods to clean up after themselves.

Either way, losing Zeus is your benefit, as you can use his lightning bolts to constantly increase your durability. Once you've collected enough bolts - five to start, but more as you progress - the game will prompt you to return to the Hall of the Gods. Simply interact with the weightlifting bench to make the swap (and enjoy a Rocky-style workout montage). The more stamina you have in Immortals Fenyx Rising, the higher you can go, the farther you can fly, and the more abilities you can use in combat.

Lightning of Zeus is acquired after completing the Vault of Tartaros. Like Ambrosia, you can scout Vaults with a long range scope and hunt them down. You also get Zeus' Lightning for completing certain quests, but again, it's best not to rely on that if you want to race around the island to your heart's content with a huge stamina bar.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to jump into it. Luckily, the Fenyx is made from a more durable material.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - Charon Coin Clarification

Charon was a boatman who ferried the souls of the dead across the River Styx to the Underworld. The ancient Greeks often put coins in the mouths of the dead as payment to Charon. In Immortals Fenyx Rising, you can collect these coins and use them as payment to unlock and upgrade Divine powers and skills.

These abilities are critical to progressing in Immortals Fenyx Rising, unless you're playing in the most basic setting, so having lots of Charon Coins burning a hole in your back pocket isn't a bad thing. Like other resources, you can use them in the Hall of the Gods by activating the Cistern of the River Styx. The amount you need to upgrade varies, so be sure to check the upgrade path before saving up for anything in particular.

You mainly get these coins through myth challenges. These challenges are scattered around the map and again I would recommend revealing them with Fenyx's Far Sight so you can track them on your journey. The number of coins received depends on how difficult or long the task is. There are a lot of symbols to remember, so if you get stuck, don't forget to check the Key on your world map. Here is an explanation of each Immortals Fenyx Rising myth:

Lyra

This task requires you to memorize a series of notes played by the Lesser Lyre and play them with the Great Lyre's bow. As far as I can tell, there is a large lyre in every major area of the Golden Isle, and several small liras are scattered around them for memorization. When you hear the melody of the Small Lyre, try to think of a way to remember it, and then quickly go to the Big Lyre. Otherwise, you just forget.

Fresco

The murals require you to solve a small puzzle in which you have to move blocks around to get the pieces of the image in the correct order. If you get stuck, try to focus on getting each block in the right place.

Constellation

The constellation puzzles tend to be a bit more difficult and involve finding multiple orbs to place on the platform in a specific order. Each orb will require you to solve a puzzle or skill to unlock it.

Navigation

Basically, these challenges are a foot race from point A to point B. You start in a circle and must reach the golden column of light before the timer runs out.

Odysseus

My personal favorite is Odysseus Challenges, which involves using your slow archery skills to shoot an arrow through a series of small hoops.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - golden amber (and potion ingredients) explained

Golden Amber can be found in chests and when chopping glowing stumps. It is used to enhance the effects of your various potions in Circe's Cauldron. The Hall of the Gods has Circe's Cauldron, but you can also find them scattered around the Isle of Gold if you want to brew a couple of potions on the fly.

"But how do I make potions?" I hear you cry. Well, in addition to other resources, you can collect potion ingredients in the wild. They are generally easier to find and more abundant than other resources. Here is the list of ingredients:

  • grenades - grenades replenish your health and can be found in trees or in baskets around shrines and statues.
  • blue mushrooms - Blue mushrooms restore your stamina and can be found in rocky places like caves or mountains.
  • olympic fig - The Olympic Fig is used to make a potion that increases your attack power and can be found near houses and temples.
  • flower nectar - Flower Nectar is used to make a potion that increases your defense and can be found near water.

Circe's cauldron, which, you guessed it, can be found in the Hall of the Gods, is used to make and upgrade potions. The symbol at the top right is golden amber.

Immortals Fenyx Rising - Adamantine Shards Explained

In classical mythology, Adamant is the equivalent of a diamond. All of your weapons and armor are made from this glamorous stuff, so you'll have to collect a lot of Adamantine Shards to upgrade it. After all, Phoenix will need top-notch gear in their fight against Typhon.

The Hephaestus Forge allows you to upgrade your weapons, armor, and carry capacity for potions and arrows. Like everything else useful in Immortals Fenyx Rising, you can find the Forge in, you guessed it, the Hall of the Gods. Each color enhances different equipment, and the methods of obtaining them are slightly different. You can find all of them on the Golden Isle in the form of shard clusters. These piles of shards can be hit with a sword to get a small amount of this resource. You also sometimes get shards for completing quests or daily challenges.

You can upgrade weapons, armor, and carrying capacity at the Hephaestus Forge. You will need a lot of Adamantine Shards in all colors to get a well-chosen set.

  • Yellow Adamantine Shards - can be found in chests and clusters of yellow shards. Used to increase the carrying capacity of potions and arrows.
  • Blue Adamantine Shards - can be found by defeating enemies and hitting clusters of blue shards. Used to upgrade swords, axes, bows and armor.
  • Red Adamantine Shards - can be found by defeating strong enemies, opening guarded chests and hitting clusters of red shards. Used to upgrade swords, axes and bows.
  • Purple Adamantine Shards - can be found in epic chests and clusters of purple shards. Used to upgrade the Phoenix Armor.

You will find clusters of shards scattered across the map. It is worth finding them and inflicting several blows with the sword to get some fragments.

Epic chests are symbolized on the map by a chest with golden armor next to it. These will be particularly difficult to access, usually requiring you to overcome a group of enemies and solve a puzzle before opening. You can scan them with the long range sight if you want the purple shards.

So, these are all resources. You'd better go hunting if you're going to equip the Phoenix against Typhon!
