This guide will tell Sea of Thieves step by step how to find and use the "Ritual Skulls" to get the answer to the question - read on.
Ritual skills are an important resource in Sea of Thieves that players can sell for gold or use to find precious loot. Sea of Thieves is about conquering open waves, visiting sights and, sometimes, participating in piracy. Three years later, there are a lot of passionate fans who are constantly coming up with pirate shenanigans related to sailing, theft and even a little supernatural magic. With Season 2 approaching, players are returning to the game to prepare for some crazy new adventures.
For many, this will involve tracking down Ritual Skulls to gain access to Fort of the Damned, which is a great way to stock up on loot in Sea of Thieves. Although the Ritual Skulls are not easy to find and Fort of the Damned can be a challenge, it can be highly rewarding in the form of loot and doubloons.
How to find and use Ritual Skulls in Sea of Thieves
There are three ways to get the Ritual Skull in Sea of Thieves. The first way is to buy the Skull Stash Voyage from Stitcher Jim or the Duke in the tavern. At 30 doubloons, they are not cheap. They have the advantage that they lead you straight to where the Ritual Skull is. The second way is to get the Ash Key and use it to open the Ash Chest.
The downside to this method is that it can take a while and will only give players a chance to get the Ritual Skull that will drop from the Ash Chest. The third way to get the Ritual Skull is with the Skeleton Ship. While single players shouldn't make the mistake of accepting them, it's an interesting challenge for groups of players.
When a ship is destroyed, looting the wreckage can result in a Ritual Skull if players are lucky. The best way to get them is by far the first one, but the cost may be too high for some players, who will have to use the longer and riskier ways to find the Ritual Skulls. The good news is that these methods will at least give them the opportunity to find other prey and improve their swimming skills.
After obtaining the Ritual Skull, players can head to L14 on the map, where they will find Fort of the Damned. Before that, they must collect all the Flames of Destiny. They can be collected by dying in a special way, and then collecting each colored flame from the Crossing of the Damned.
- Flame of Treacherous Weather - Die to Lightning (White).
- Flame of downtrodden souls - players from another crew die (pink)
- Flame of dead sailors - dying sharks or megalodon (blue).
- Cursed Bone Flame - Die to Skeleton (Green).
- Flames of burning hearts - die in fire, lava or volcanic rocks (red)
- Flame Viper - Die from poison (purple).
In Fort of the Damned, players will find six statues that match the types of deaths they have suffered to light a fire, and can light the torch of each one. After that, they can travel to the center of the island and place the Ritual Skull on the caged decapitated skeleton to start the Fort of the Damned.
Sea of Thieves is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. And that's all there is to know about how to find and use Ritual Skulls in Sea of Thieves.
